This website records the lost history of police torture and misconduct in Chicago. Its focus is both historical, specifically the period between 1871-1971, and contemporary to the extent that it tries to record present day cases involving similar practices.
Its historical component builds on work set out in my book, Robert Nixon and Police Torture in Chicago, 1871-1971, providing blog posts that recount the history of individual claims of torture and links to other resources.
Its present day aspect archives materials from the news.
